Close cost centre without closing org unit

Hi,

We are looking to close the  cost centre for any financial postings (SI, distribution) for specificed period.

is it possible to control cost posting without delimting org unit ? Woarkaround are always welcome.

Hi Govind,

I am not sure if I get your question very well.

In the timelines tab of you this org unit, you can delimit the "Cost Center" tribute.

After this date the org unit won't be cost center anymore.

Dear Govind,

You can edit the Org Structure>> Respected unit and deselect the "Cost Center" which comes under Definitions.

When you want to activate the org unit,then again check this check box.

Hi Govind,

Maybe you are aware of it, you can delimit the cost centre definition at a specific date and activate at a later point in time. In this way you remove the definition for a time period (and the org unit itself is not closed).

WoC OrgManagement -> Edit (Planning Area)

Set effective date to the first day, that it should be a cost centre, unclick the definition.

If you want to activate it at a later point in time (set effective date accordingly) just mark it again.
