Hi,
We would like to expose some selected BI Platform content (mainly WEBI docs) externally (Internet) through Mobile devices (iOS/Android)
Our Network team has imposed 3 major requirements:
1) External access only available to SAP BI Mobile app (not BOE web/ not CMS web)
2) Internal access only to SAP BOE/CMS web apps (not mobile ones)
3) Users with admin credentials should only able to view content (no management tasks)
After reviewing SAP BI Mobile documentation this is my purposed solution:
Notice that 2 app servers would ecist in the Internal (Intranet) area: one for managing external (Internet) request to Mobile apps (MobileBIService, MobiServer) through a DMZ area and another for managing internal requests to rest of web apps (BOE/CMS). It is a suitable design?
With regards of second requirements:could a user with admin privileges to use SAP BI Mobile app to perform some kind of "dangerous/hacking" action over the rest of system.? If yes, which is the best approach to reduce or minizime this risk?
Thanks,
Alfons
Second requirement - no. mobile app has no admin managerial capability, so admin level user only has full access to published content, nothing else.
The landscape looks perfect.
