Where-Used list of DataSources used in AO Workbooks?

Hi,

Is there an easy way to find out which AO Workbooks use which data sources? For instance, how can I find out if a BEX query is used in AO workbooks without manually opening each one of them and checking the components tab?

FYI - we are on 1.4.

Many Thanks

Henry

Hi Henry Janz,

Yes, It can be found in Query designer using Where-Used List option

Open the query in Query designer, click on the option Where-Used List option

it shows like below

Hi Subash,

I tried that and it does not seem to work - it says no references have been found. Our AO workbooks are saved on the BI Platform and not in SAP Netweaver. Our BW backend is SAP NW 7.40 SP 5.

Can you confirm if your workbooks are on the platform or on Netweaver?

Thanks

Henry

There is nothing like this up to now. I have mailed to the BI platform product manager in 2013. The answer was that something like this should and maybe will come in future. But that's it. After some months I asked again via mail and get no response anymore.

There is an idea in the idea place but maybe not enough support up to now (it is only submitted noch accepted):

At the moment it is dangerous to delete queries because you have no idea if and where they are used. You can only check when they are used the last time and delete on this basis.

If you change queries with some changes they have to be refreshed in the workbook but you can't do it if you don't know where they are used.
