Create Service Category Catalogs with spaces

Former Member

Hi,

I have  created a comma separated value (CSV) file to upload entire service category catalog (see below format), rather than creating each entry manually in the system. But I need to create five spaces before incident category for e.g. if incident category is Leave then it should display in the system as

  •      Leave

<CategoryID>;<CategoryType>;<ParentCategoryID>;<Language1>;<Name1>;<Description1>;<Language2>;<Name2>;<Description2>...

I tried to create the .csv file with five spaces and it uploaded successfully but it's not importing spaces or automatically removing the five spaces , Is there a way to show the spaces by using the .csv file?

Thanks and Regrads,

Roopesh Purohit

Hi roopesh,

Can you make the object in edit mode and check, because by default in the UI, the preceding spaces before a text is trimmed and shown.

I did check in the edit mode but it's not showing the space.

why do  do you want the spaces to be included?

if it is just for indentation, just create incident category as a child. Catalog is displayed as a tree structure in UI. So all child elements will have 'Tree Hierarchy' Indentation.

Hi,

We are using parent-child structure but this one of the business requirement we are trying to test. I think it's just for indentation.

I will check with the team again to confirm if we can remove this space requirement.

Thanks and Regards,
