Master Data Replication in SAP SRM 7.01

Hi Sap Gurus,

In SRM 5.0 master data comes into SRM from ECC in BDoc format and GR and IV will be transferred to ECC with the help of ALE/IDOC's in IDOC format.

Is this same in SRM 7.01??

I read in one of the threads that there is no change or background job required to get master data from ECC...it will be same as SRM 5.0

Please give us your suggestions/idea on this...

HI Sanjay

Yes the master data replication mostly remains the same with the Option of also using SOA ..

but what you have mentioned is not mster data but transactional data ..

So that also remains the same with the option of using XI / PI as well ..

So please advise on what exactly you need help with the process is mostly similar with other options also added when using SRM 7 .

Also note transactional data gets taken care of automatically however if there is some specific requirement SAP should be contacted to provide a client specific solution

How can we do this master data replication process if we have multiple backend systems??

Are you going to map both the backend systems in SMOEAC??

My Question is how to replicate master data from multiple backend systems?

Hi Sanjay,

Yes you can create Multiple Sites in SMOEAC corresponding to each Backend/Logical System.

Hi Sanjay,

Yes the replication of GR (only for Material PO confirmation) & IV happens through Idoc. You need to configure the Ports for Idoc processing (txn: we21) & Partner Profiles together with Message type for GR & IV (txn: we20)
