Activity wise MII code transport

Hi All,

I am working MII 15.0 SP3 version.

I am trying to find a way to transport MII code activity wise. I mean to say I need to transport a specific change with respect to one CR (Change Request) and only that gets transported to target environment rather than transporting the whole source code. I used to do this in MII 12.1 using NWDI where I checkout each file at MII workbench against an activity. After that I can release the activity in NWDS and do the transport.

I had a look at the document (Using CTS+ with MII 14.0) but it provides a way to transport the whole MII project (after exporting from configuration screen) in one shot. Also I do not want to manually select and export the individual files which are changed. Can you please help me how we can do activity wise transport using CTS+?

Hi Shaji,

In 14.0, you can transport your configurations from one MII system to another using CTS+. There you can specify what configuration files you want to transport.

In MII 15.0, transportation of projects is also available but it exports the whole project and not some files in the project like you want. So basically what you are asking is not possible currently.

This really a surprise. We had this facility available on MII 12.1 version using NWDI. Can't we do the same on MII 15.0.

Is there any issues to use NWDI with MII 15.0?

Hi Shaji,

NWDI will work with MII 15.0 perfectly and in the same manner as for earlier versions.

I was talking about CTS+ in the earlier reply. Transportation of specific files is not possible using CTS+.
