BEx WAD: Restrict download function via BW authorizations?

Hi Experts,

i have the requirement that some reporting users should not use the Export Button (function) in web applications and I don't want to create two versions of the reports. Is it possible to restrict the data export function in BEx WAD via BW authorizations? Can I handle that case with the authorization object "S_RS_BITM"?

Hi Stephan,

I don't think you can do this with standard authorization. If this is a critical need, I would have a look for an ABAP enhancement on the standard export function. Inserting an authorization check in a standard ABAP may not be so complex to do.
