Complete GRN without affecting MAP

Hi Experts,

We want to do GRN for one material at a higher Price. We already have stock of the same material @ MAP 100. We have a new shipment to be entered in system @ MAP 120.

We want to enter the new shipment into system without affecting current MAP.

The new shipment has transportation charges/other charges + some recovery also. (Tried vendor consignment. In vendor consignment not able to enter recovery and other conditions).

Please let us know how we can complete this process.

Hi,

Create PO for material with entering cost center & G/ L account and do goods receipt for your account assigned PO. Cross check your requirement how MAP behaving for your material.

Can I post the material against some special stock indicator. Provided system should allow us to provide conditions and recovery for this new lot.

Transpiration and Recovery is exclusively for this new lot of material.

I am not able to understand why you want to use special stock indicator ?

If these charges are not include with material's price, then you can assign it to another G/L account (by using accrual condition type) during a normal purchase order. So that, system will only post the amount for material price into your stock account and MAP will calculate for your material price only.

What is actual material price for new shipment ? Does your rest 20 (120-100) amount used for transportation charges/other charges + some recovery ?

You can't prevent update MAP, if you accounting entry hits Stock account (transaction key BSX).

Hi,

MAP is always calculated its moving avarage price. So in same material, you cannot do like that, or you can post in spilit valuation.
