Preventive Maintenance - mix of time based and performance based

Hi,

I am relatively new to PM module

I have a requirement like this...

Client procuring some machines. They have to carry out preventive maintenance based on following criteria...

Machine installed today. Now they need to carry out preventive maintenance based on following criteria..

1. after 1 month or reaching 100 hrs of machine run which ever is earlier

2. after 2 month or reaching 200 hrs of machine run which ever is earlier

3. after 3 month or reaching 300 hrs of machine run which ever is earlier

like the above it goes on...

We can not calculate the annual estimation of the machine as machines run one day only 1 hr and next day 8 hrs another day 3 hrs like this..

How to design this so that we get preventive maintenance orders automatically when we we run IP30 deadline monitoring..

Thanks

Kumar

Hi Kumar,

In order comsider 2 Unit ( Month and Machine Run) for scheduling create cycle set -ip11z

Also if you want to your plan to work effectively for Mcahine Run you need to give correct Annual estimate. if not you can use exit which Intern will update annual estimate evry time when you post new Maesuring document.

exit -MEASURE_POINT_UPD_PYEAR

Hi Sunil,

Thanks for your reply.  Without maintaining any value in annual estimate in Measuring point we cannot fulfill this requirement ? Is maintaining annual estimate is mandatory for this?  can you please clarify.

Thanks

Hi Kumar,

As such Field is not Mandatory while you create Measuring Poin ( with Counter Tick On), but definitely there dependecy of schedule on Annual estimate.

F1 help-

Annual Estimate

Annual estimate for the object to which the counter applies

Dependencies

This field is used in conjunction with maintenance plans in regular maintenance to calculate the necessary maintenance intervals (counter-based maintenance).

Hi Sunil,

I know while creating measuring point, Annual estimate is not mandatory.

my question is without maintaining Annual estimate for measuring counter ( manually or exit you proposed) we cannot meet the above requirement ?? Please clarify.

Thanks

Hi Kumar,

This should be the message when you are not entering the Annual Estimate

In turn you cannot schedule the maintenance plan.

This is like indirect mandatory for counter based plans
