Use of formula variable using CMOD as date as input and day/month/year as output

Hi all,

To get YYYY, MM, DD from YYYYMMDD which user enters manually, used CMOD as YYYYMMDD as input and wrote three cases for MM DD YYYY and assigned to a variable using formula variable. But values are returning X as output.

Please suggest the settings, if I have missed anywhere in creation of formula variable.

Regards,

Nachappa

Hi,

What do you mean by three cases for MM DD YYYY? If you want a different view of dates for your users, you may edit the VIEW of DATES of their usernames in tcode SU01..The view depends on the setting of every user..There is a DATE view setting in SU01..

If not, you need to go to last tab of formula variable and select DATE instead of NUMBER..

Hi Nachappa,

Did you took formula dimension type as Date or number, you might be kept as number, please make it date.

still issue exist, please paste the input data and output data so that will give better idea.

Thank you,
