Modify BPF in SAP BPC 10.0

Hi Experts,

We have a BPF template which is already Deployed. Now, there's a new requirement to update few new links to the same BPF template. Can you please let me know the Process? As per me, it should be;

1. Go to BPF/Process Templates

2. Select the Template and click on New Version

3. Go to Activities and select the step to modify and add a new link

4. Save and validate the Process template

5. Deploy the Draft template.

Please let me know if any further steps are required.

HI VVR,

One more step would be to archive the old process instance and create a new instance with the new template(with changes) and test once if links are updated.

Hi , i'm facing that issue ,

I changed a BPF with new version ,I added a link to a workbook , but after validating and saving ,

i can't see the new link .so I understand , it is needed to archive the instance and create a new one.

correct?

So if the 'old' instance is initiated , i would lose the process step each time I change a template , isn't it?

Is there a way to mantain the same instance after changing the BPF?
