ASE job scheduler is not active

Dear experts,

we are using Sybase database 15.7.0.050,we are not able to take daily backup due to ASE job scheduler is not active error.

Please check below details and attached file of SID_jsagent.log file

Hi Habeeb,
As per the attached log, the Job Scheduler is down since a long time ago ("JS: Task/Agent connection terminated" on 2013/12/17 15:59:15).
It use to restart automatically when you restart your system, but you may restart it also manually by following instructions from SAP Note 1686426 - "SYB: Sybase job scheduler stops".

Hi Habeeb,

I would guess your Job Scheduler is already up and running ?

So I would expect you have not anymore that message on the DBACockpit -> Collector Config.
By the way you should really consider to upgrade the ASE to at last last PL for ASE 15.7 (SAP Note 1554717 - SYB: Planning information for SAP on ASE )
