So my question is..

2) Should I apply for this opportunities or not??

3) Is there any difference between contract basis experience & pay roll experience in market???

Please give your valuable feedback..

Dear Dhaval,

In India Permanent job is given more importance than contractual by the Employer.

But Getting the First Opportunity in SAP is difficult.

Good to know that you got a contractual Job.

My Suggestion would be to take up the contractual job and gain experience and then try for Permanent job.

Because more than Certification, Experience is more important to get a job.

Dear Mr.Dhaval Mistry,

Its good to hear that you got an opportunity in SAP as a beginner, usually its little tough as a beginner.

So just join it, and try to work as demanded by the project.

I feel that its a great opportunity for you to prove yourself as a right candidate in SAP, enhance your skill set, more will be learning for you and you will get your experience & will be considered in market same like regular jobs only.

An payroll employee works full- or part-time for a business and is subject to federal and state employment laws, including those that cover pay, benefits, termination procedures and taxes.

but contractor who works for a business on a project or finite basis, later extensions will be depends on the project requirement.

i suggest you to browse for more details / differences of Contract vs payroll jobs.

Wish you all the best.

Thanks,

Dhaval,

As you are new and trying to break into the SAP job market, go ahead and apply for all jobs! Contract for 6 months is equally valued in the job market, and it is counted as SAP experience, so apply.

I have some SAP work experience and I am on a payroll of a company, but many clients start out with a 2 month/ 4 month contract, if they want, then they extend your contract again for 6 months....so as an analyst/consultant you are always proving yourself to the client and then getting an extension. I try to add value, do my job well, learn things for my growth...these are the things you have to do to stay in the market. So ultimately (at what ever level, for an SAP analyst - functional or technical) it is about prove yourself and then you will be allowed to get an extension to your contract.
