Scope of SAP(HCM)

Dear SAP Experts,

I am planning to go for SAP HCM Certification(online).  I have around 5 years of experience in HR function post MBA (HR).  I dont have any technical exposure to SAP application?

I intend to be a SAP HR Consultant, but am not sure about my chances of getting into this profile and major factors affecting my success rate.  Strictly from an employee perspective, will it make sense for me to try and get onto this new profile; and what future does SAP - HCM has in coming times, considering that most big corporations are already using SAP-HCM module.

what is the added advantage of doing SAP for an experienced HR?

I will be investing around 3 lakhs for the period of 5 months for the certification so I want to know what is my ROI?

Hi Thangs,

Try to get job in SAP HCM rather than working on certification. Certification is just for brushing the SAP HCM but it will not give you experties like working on project. In future, if you require certification, you can directly appear unlike paying for learning and then cerification.

SAP successfactor certification is not open for all, only limited for SAP partner.

Please go through the post.

Dear Thanga Durai,

I'm not against you doing SAP HCM certification. If I were you, I will take it only if there is a prospective employer who will take me as SAP HCM certified fresher. There are 1000s of SAP HCM consultant in the industry and any company will prefer person with SAP exp over certified fresher. If you really have good contacts that will land you a job then go ahead.

Also look for SuccessFactors training and certification. Kindly so some research on future of SAP HCM and SuccessFactors. There are many blogs available on this.

All the Best!!

Regards,

Hari
