verify database option closes the crystal reports window - why?

when i click the verify database option, it closes the crystal reports window - why?

please suggest reasons for the same.

guys, Please help me here - when i click the verify database option, i am asked for prompt values, after clicking prompt values, the crystal reports application automatically closes. please suggest why??

Please provide more info:

1. What version of CR is this (Go to Help > About > Note the version number)

2. Which Database are you reporting against?

3. Which Database driver is being used and what is the connection type - ODBC, OLEDB, Native?

Try updating the DB client and before opening the report connect to the database first. Then open the report and verify the database.
