Hello SCN,
I have two tables in ERP. I want to replicate few fields from 1st and few fields from 2nd table to one single table in HANA system. Can we create a view in source system and then replicate the view to SAP HANA system?
Are there any limitations of such approach.
Regards
Rocky
Hi Rocky,
View replication is supported in SLT.
You need to replicate the base tables first and then replicate your view from LTRC

Hi Saritha,
Thanks for your response. I don't want the two source tables in HANA system. I want just one table instead of two. Can we create one view from two tables in ERP and then replicate this view to one single table in HANA.
In one of the document I read that- "if we join fields of different tables into one view, one table is the leading table and fields from other tables can be added. In the SLT system, the table deviation has to be built as a transformation of first leading table. The table keeps the leading table name in target but is enlarged with other fields."
Here I don't understand whether all the fields from the leading table has to be taken. Can't I take few fields from the leading table and extend it by additional fields from other table to create a view and then replicate it to HANA target table?

Rocky
Hi Rocky,
I went through the overview of SP7 presentation where this is mentioned, looks like this will consider the entire leading table. Unfortunately its not applied in my system currently, so can't confirm. Maybe others experts can give you a better idea on this. You too can give a try if possible and let us know the results.

Hi Rocky,
If you refer to below document being shared from Astrid, it gives an idea of having combination of fields.

Hope this helps..
