HI Geeks,

I am having a peculiar issue,we are printing a form  and it shows correctly in print preview, when we print even in spool it shows correctly ,but when printed in 1 printer ,only 1 letter is changing to A instead of B in one particular field.

Has anybody faced this issue before ?what could be the cause ,can anyone suggest anything on this.

Thanks

MZI

Hello MZI

When you say that 1 printer,do you mean that ouput from A special printer will cause this problem, but
other printers will be OK?

Have you tried to use the device type SWINCF and access method G to print to that special printer?
Do you still have the same problem?

Exactly printing fine in 1 printer bit not in another.

Hello MZI,

Then the problem should be related to the device type you are using.

Have you tried to use the device type SWINCF and access method G?
If use device type SWICNF can get the correct print result.Pls let me know the model of the problem
printer.

Hello MZI,

For your printer model,if you only print latin-1 characters, you can use the device type HP1320.
But If you also want to print some other characters, you need to use the device type SWINCF.

You can refer to the note 1036961 about how to select device type in tcd:SPAD.

Hi Mohammed,

I believe when you are saying A and B, you don't actually mean A and B, but rather just two different characters.. So I will use them in the same context too..

The problem may be because the character that you see as A is not actually the same character. The internal code associated with that character may be different from what is meant for A...This may happen when you copy text from Word and they are in different fonts or if they are represented with an extended character set that may not be supported by your printer.

To fix this, just try simply deleting the word and type it in using your keyboard.. Don't copy and paste from the source.. See if that works for you..
