Hi All,
I am doing some research on SuccessFactors and need the following info.
1. What is the typical implementation time for a SuccessFactor project ? I know it depends on lot of factor but if you can tell me based on your real life experience, it would be great. You can assume a mid sized company implementing 2-3 key modules of SF.
2. What is the average SAP license cost and consulting fee by the implementation partners ?
3. What is the typical implementation time for implementing 2-3 modules of Successfactors ?
4. What is the team size and skill sets required for implementation ?
Thanks in advance in helping me with this.
Regards,
Harsha
Hi Harsha,
My responses:
1. Depends on which modules (as they all have different timelines), size of customer, number of countries, complexity, etc. There is no real benchmark.
2. You need to speak to SAP about licensing costs. Implementation fees vary from partner to partner. There is no benchmark.
3. See 1
4. For most talent modules 1 person can do the implementation of SuccessFactors, although a project manager is also needed (either customer or partner). If integration is required then usually a technical resource is also required. For Employee Central you may need 2 or sometimes 3 consultants depending on the size, complexity, and timeline of the project.
All the best,
Luke

Hi Luke,
Thanks a lot for your answer.
For my question 1, can you tell me the timeline for "Performance Management" module for successfactor assuming customer with 2000 users and just one country.
Also for 2, do you know if there would be any relation between SAP licensing cost and implementation cost. For example, can we assume that the implementation cost would be x% of the SAP license cost.
Thanks and Regards,
Harsha
Hi Harsha,
For a Performance Management for 1 form with no goal management for 2k employees in 1 country you could probably implement this in around 10-12 weeks. Quicker is feasible, but that is tough for customers.
There is no relation between SAP licensing cost and implementation. It depends on the implementation partner. Usually you can use the SuccessFactors PS Estimator tool for this type of project and it will give a fairly accurate number of hours. You should also take into account that the first implementation needs to have the Platform implemented.
Best regards,
Luke
