Part search shows BOM

When using the top right search, and I am searching for a part and select a result, SAPB1 displays my BOM for that item. Is there a way to make it show the Item Master instead? With the current setup I have to search for the part and then click the yellow arrow to go to the item master.

Of course if I go to the Item Master and search it stays in the item master, but I am curious if there is the ability to change to display the item master from the top right search bar.
