Trigg the BODS job from the BI process chain

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement, need to run the BODS job before activation of request in DSO can we achive in the process chain.

Process chain next step will process after sucessfully completed of the BODS job.

Steps:

1. Start

2. Load

3. DTP

4. BODS job - should complete sucessfully (after BODS job completed then next step will process in the process chain)

5. Activitaion of the DSO request

Note: We need New table data in the DSO to process into BODS

HI Vijay,

as Jan suggested we have a process type called Start Job in SAP BusinessObjects Data Services  under general services please use this.

In the past I have started Data Services jobs in BW process chains using a system command.

If you are on a recent version of BW, you can use the new process chain variant "Start Job in SAP BusinessObjects Data Services" which sits under 'general services' in the process chain design screen.
