Hello All,

I keep getting this message when I try to change a view in a web dynpro project.

The operation requires the writeability of the following Objects:

The project is not in DTR, but there are readonly files!

Any idea why this happens?

Thanks

Hey Vijay,

Locate the files on your hard drive that are giving you this problem. Select the files that are giving you this problem and uncheck the readonly flag, in the properties menu, when you right click on the file.

You should be able to check in the files if they are not readonly.

The DTR can only check in writable files. It then changes these files to read only.

If they are already read only, due to what ever reason, the operation fails.

The other option is to resync the whole structure from DTR freshly. You can then edit the files again. Before you do this, delete the old files.

Thank You.

Sumit.

Hi Vijay,

because the files are not in DTR, you shouldn´t delete these files from your local drive.

Instead you should locate the file in DTR perspective of NWDS. There it will probably be be displayed with an icon that contains a blue house. That means the file is not in DTR but only on local disk.

Add the file to DTR by using the context menu item "Add".

Regards
