4.1 line chart - cannot plot multiple series from query browser results

Hi All:

  I am using dahsboards 4.1 (Sp5) and trying to plot the following data using the query browser against an OLAP data source. I am wishing to generate a LINE chart that shows BE DESC as my series, ClaimCount on the Y axis and DIM_PAIDDATE on the X axis. 

Any examples I have seen bind to excel but the data in such cases the data is already in a pivot format.  My query will only let me insert my measure (ClaimCount) into the spreadsheet and not the dimensions.   I'm new to BO. Is there something I am missing?

To create the line chart as per your requirement, you should have the data in the below mentioned tabular format. While using query browser connection you cannot do that. Either you should "SAP BW Net-weaver" connection to call the structure directly from BEx Query or you should create WebI Report and then you can take the structure towards the dashboard.

I think it may be possible using excel formula to get the data into the desired format first and then mapping the chart
