How company will know that vendor has delivered goods to customer

Hi Gurus

In 3rd party sales vendor delivers goods to customer. My question is how company will know that vendor has delivered the goods to customer.

Can we know it through sap that vendor has delivered.

• SAP (system) will get updated only after MIRO or MIGO(optional) enjoy transactions.
• Alternatively, receiving advance shipping notification from vendor or Customer's POD through electronic media or any other mode of communication.

Raj,

One way to inform your company is that vendor will send an email  with an attachment of goods delivered with the sign of your customer (warehouse staff who receive the goods) to your company administrative dept.

I want to know that in 3rd Party with or without shipping notification , when vendor deliver the goods then he sends shipping notification and invoice which we create as MIGO and MIRO.

Before MIGO and MIRO can we know that vendor has delivered goods to customer .

How we came to know through sap.

what about asking your customer to send you a confirmation of receipt? How can SAP know this?

So, when goods are delivered to customer by your vendor, then only you post MIGO in your system for Sales Processing using 3rd Party (w. Shipping Notification). Your vendor can have POD in place and according they can intimate you about the delivery of goods to customer.
