recently I discovered a huge loss in performance when connecting the SBO Client to the server. All of a sudden it took more than three minutes for the menu to display after logging on to the server. I worket through this guide: How to troubleshoot for slow performance issue during login to SAP Business One but I did not solve the problem. After that I took Wireshark to look into the network traffic exchanged between client and server. I found some really weird behaviour: For some seconds client and server exchange some information. Then the client does a dns lookup after our old SBO server, followed by sending ARP requests to the old server for three minutes. After that the logon to the new server continues and SBO behaves as normal.
We moved SBO from the old server to a new one several years ago. The old server is out of service for that time and for that it can not answer the ARP requests.
I looked in to the database (SELECT * FROM SLIC) and looked through all configuration files in c:\Users\<USERNAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\SAP, did a search in the registry of client and server machine, but I did not find a single reference to the old server name or its IP address. What is going on here? Where could SBO get that wrong server information from?
SBO Version: 8.82.079
Sever: SQL Server 2008 R2/ Windows Server 2008 R2
Thanks for any help
