Which Filter Control?

Hi all

I've been reviewing the Fiori Design Guidelines and I'm trying to decide the best kind of filter for my purpose.

We need to provide users with the ability to filter a large list of Sales Orders by multiple fields, e.g. Customer, Creator, date, type etc.

I can see that facet filter looks more powerful, but that is for fullscreen layout only. We prefer the master detail layout, which leads us towards contextual filter.

-Can the user apply multiple contextual filters? e.g. Customer and Creator? If yes, how would they appear on the screen?

-Can contextual filters be pre-set on loading?

-Is there a functionality similar to variants, for contextual filter?
