Recommended way to access SAP ECC base tables in Lumira

Hello Experts,

As I understand, SAP Lumira can connect to ERP using "Query with SQL" option. In this, all the query infosets are exposed to Lumira for consumption. But as per the information that I have received, query infosets are not good for reporting purpose from performance point of view. So can Lumira be used directly to connect to base Oracle db using "Query with SQL" option or Query Infosets is the way to access it?

Please suggest.

There are two ways- one you already mention

The other is to create a universe but again that would be against an InfoSet or ABAP function module

The only BI tool that can access ECC tables directly is Crystal Reports 2013 (ehp 6 or lower)
