When, Why BO should be used

Hi,

Could anyone please let me know in detail that:

1. When should an organization got for SAP BO if they already get reports from ECC Tables and APAB.

2. Why should an organization choose BO as reporting tool.

3. What kind of reports needs to be created for BO.

1/ It depends on your reporting requirements

2/ It depends on your reporting requirements - different reporting tools should be recommended based on the requirements

Business objects is the suite with different products like Webi,Crystal,Dashboards ,Explorers,UDT ,IDT etc.

Now lets say you are getting report from ECC tables directly or with help of ABAP but what if you want to have different types of aggregate values or you want to apply drill ,do some slicing and dicing or you want to apply some filters/input controls for further processing.

So by using BO you can have customized reports very easily without knowledge of ABAP.

In BO you can create different types of graphs,drills ,hyperlink , fold - unfold etc

Also you can have mobile reports using BO & dashboads are very useful for higer management as they are concerned about only summary data.

I hope you understand the difference now & also importance of BO in BI world.
