Hi All,

We have created two dashboards (iPhone and iPad). Then we have installed SAP BI mobile app in iPad and iPhone. I could see these dashboards in iPad but I could not see the dashboards in iPhone. Anyone had faced similar kind of issue ? please suggest me what I should do to make it visible in iPhone also.

Thanks

Gokul

Hi Gokul,

You should still be able to run your iPhone dashboard on the BI mobile app even if you didn't use the iPhone templates.  In fact, the iPhone templates are quite outdated with the old black theme.  If you haven't already done so, I would recommend that you simply create your iPhone dashboard using the Blue Crystal theme which is optimised for mobile, in which case you should be able to start from a blank page.

Have you confirmed that your iPhone dashboard runs as expected in local mode using the Send To Mobile Device (QR Code) execution option?

Regards,

Mustafa.

Hi Victor,

All the pr-requisites mentioned are available. Only thing was missing is

  • mobi.properties should contain following lines:

          #iphone

          iphone.pagemode=true

          iphone.corporateCategory=Mobile,iphone

          iphone.personalCategory=Mobile,iphone

Now I have included that also, but still I couldn't view it in iPhone. Do we need a restart of BOBJ server after this change ? Can you please help me ?

Thanks

Gokul

Can you check if the properties are also visible in tomcat's cache folder catalina?

In case not, then change the Name of the corresponding folder under catalina and re-start.

Hi Gokul,

Please go to this location

SAP BusinessObjects\tomcat\webapps\MobileBIService\WEB-INF\classes\internal

Open Zen.properties and append iphone to document.supported.devices.

  Like below:

document.handler.name=zen

document.handler.servlet.path=/zen

document.infoobject.kind=AAD.AnalysisApplication

document.infoobject.kind.intvalue=5

document.supported.devices=ipad,iphone

Hi Gokul - did you use the iPhone templates to create your application?  See page 39 of the SAP Help:

http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/AAD15/en/ds_15_user_en.pdf

"When using an iPhone, only create applications based on the predefined templates for iPhones (do not use the blank template for iPhones). In the New Application dialog box, select iPhone as the target device. In the next step, select a predefined iPhone template (for example, iPhone Template 1)" per the SAP Help

Hi Tammy,

Thanks for the quick response. Yes I have used the iPhone template to develop it but still I couldn't see it in iPhone. Same application is visible in iPad.

Thanks

Hi Gokul - are you using the Mobile BI app?  The latest version?  Did you save it to the Mobile Category on the BI Platform?  Which version of BI Platform, Design Studio and Mobile BI are you using?
