Former Member

Dear all,

I put my screen shot.

In Maintain EUP settings I have data in blue and I cannot change the settings for "Mandatory" field.

For example I want to oput "Last Name" in Not Mandatory but in Visible...

Do you have any idea?

Thanks and regards,

Mélanie

Dear Melanie,

copy the default EUP template (999) to your own and you are able to change the dependent fields. More can be found here: http://scn.sap.com/community/grc/blog/2014/02/04/creating-access-request-template-based-requests-and...

If you are lower than AC 10.0 / SP8 this also happens in other EUP's. Therefore check note: http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1673170

Thanks Alessandro.

But if I use "Access Request" in My Home, the system uses the EUP Default, isn't it ? I cannot use other EUP, or I am wrong... 😞

Hi Melanie,

that's true - therefore we recommend to use templated based requests rather than "Access Request" in NWBC. While using templates you can define what is mandatory, visible, etc. for each template.

Also as mentioned by Harinam the behaviour is by design as some fields are the minimum information required to be given in an access request.

Hope this helps.

Alessandro

I believe this could be a setting made on purpose as per design, as you require some information in the "Last name" as a minimum when creating a user ID.

If you were to create a user ID manually in SU01, I believe that the User ID get's automatically populated into the last name field.

This would be the only logical reason as to why you can (and probably) should not make that field as non-mandatory.

Hope that helps.
