Good day.

SAP HR system is not running overtime in accordance with business requirements or business rules. The problem started around September 2021. The difficulty arises when they assign or substitute General Manager. When they get rid of GM. Overtime runs smoothly and without hiccups.

How do I fix that?

Please don't ask a new question -- posted as an answer -- in an old thread filled with Former Members. You won't reach anybody this way.

You should submit a new question instead: https://answers.sap.com/questions/ask.html

I recommend that you familiarize yourself with https://community.sap.com/resources/questions-and-answers, as it provides tips for preparing questions that draw responses from our members. Feel free to take our Q&A tutorial at https://developers.sap.com/tutorials/community-qa.html as well, as that will also help you when preparing questions for the community.

Hi Sven

Thanks for the information

This is an example that  I want to do

The employee has a shift from 7::00 to 15:00.

The employee clock-in at 7:00 and clock-out at 17:00

When i run time evaluation with clock time, I want to create infotype 2005 (2 hours)

It´s  posible?

This is completely against the standard process. Once you know the overtime in time eval, creating it in IT2005 would be step back. You only use 2005 (and since ca year 2004 IT2002 instead), if you don't have clocktimes for the overtime.

If you have clocktimes overtime wagetypes are created based on T510s and schema. Then they go directly into payroll - or banktime.

Or your process requires approval. Then IT2007 is captured manually(!) as approval for the overtime to go through.

Strongly recommend to check basic PT process in training, or you are at risk of messing up a schema by learning detailed technical wizardrx, bot not understanding the fundamental principals.

Hi Alberto,

From your responses, I see that you are using positive time management.

Please find the below document which explains overtime calculation through IT2007.

I had made modification to PCRs TO20 and TO21 to cater to client requirements. You may as well use standard PCRs if they meet your requirements.

I hope this is helpful for you and meets your requirements.

Hi Vivek

I customized overtime using IT2007 and it is working ok. Just I need to round overtime wage type to half hours, for example 1.75-->1.30, 1.20-->1, .50-->.30.

Do you have documentation?

Thanks a lot for share your information.

Alberto,

It goes the other way, if anything. You create IT 2004 feeds into time eval (if the overtime cannot be determined automatically from other data) and then time eval feeds into payroll.

No standard config to create 2005 out of time eval.

Besides: IT2005 is obsolete and you should use IT2002 with the respective overtime fields instead

Sorry: should read 2005, not 2004 in first line
