Hello PP Experts,

I am working on cross plant planning scenario .

In which I have 3 plants, Plant A is planning plant i.e sales order will come to plant A and plant B and plant c will be production plant and again after production the material will be sold from plant A.

I have used special procurement key 80 and did settings in material master and followed some links already on forum. When i m running MRP with MD50 the requirement for raw material is not getting generated by the system.

Please help..!!

Hello Experts,

Thanx a lot for your prompt reply's.

I have tested with the following changes and now requirement for raw material is getting generated when i run MRP with MD02.

I have some doubt like business is working on Make-to-order scenario (strategy=20) and i have used Individual/collective requirement=2 for some child materials for which there is reorder point planning,If i first run MRP with MD50 and then will run MRP with MD02,will this have any effect in planning

and is there a way that we can run MRP only once.

Hello

As I pointed previously, MRP with transaction MD50 will only plan components assigned to the sales order special stock.

If you need to keep those components under collective stock, then you must plan your material with MD02.

It is enough to plan the header material with transaction MD02, so that you can plan all the involved materials only once.

Amit,

As you have multiple plants for MRP you can consider using scope of planning which in turn runs MRP plant wise individually which considers all materials which are relevant for MRP irrespective of whether it is MTO or MTS.

Hello Amit,

There would not be any problem, MTO materials will be only plan by MD50 for dependent MTS materials you need to run MD02.

However you have reorder point planning for that you need to run MRP through MD01 or MD03.

MRP type like VB i.e. reorder type is a consumption based planning procedure. For consumption based planning materials will only be planned in MD01 or MD03 for that particular material ,whenever stock will fall below the reorder level.

So plan sales order through MD50 and then run plant level MRP through MD01 or background job.

Hello

With transaction MD50, system will only plan the dependent requirements under the sales order special stock, which is not the case here.

You can try to plan your material using transaction MD02, cheking the option "also plan unchanged components".

Another option is to set the individual/collective indicator of the component to 1, in order to have this component under the sales order special stock. In this case, it should be planned by MD50.

Amit,

Run MRP separately for the plant with MD02 or MD01 where MRP is not generated any receipts if it works then you need to Run MRP with scope of planning for all Plants together.

Hello Amit,

MD50 MRP run against sales order & line item. Please run MRP through MD02 or MD01 multiple item & multiple levels.
