NSP Installed but Logon failed: DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_UNKNOWN

Former Member

Hi Gurus,

I just installed NW702 trial and could successfully start the instance NSP in SAPMMC, i.e. green light on. However, when trying to logon a pop up says:

SAP System Message:

Error DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_UNKNOWN occurred. P1=ABAP-gen.

What happened and any clue to resolve?

Here attached are some log files:

Update on this:

The package I previously downloaded was NWABAPTRIAL70211_64_GW204 which led to all the questions I've posted above.

I uninstalled that and again downloaded NWABAPTRIAL70206_64 ( the 2 pkgs ). The installation of this new package was smooth and I'm now in.

On Win 8 the only problem is I always get a Runtime Error "OS release is not supported with this kernel (720)" when login. I simply click 'Back' and it directs me to Start SAP Easy Access then everything looks normal.

Hi XM,

Okay, so that you can play around with the system, but never go for the real testing, dev, production system. SAP may be partly working on Win8, as you already saw the warning " os release is not supported with this kernel 720".

Hi Gurus,

By checking the MMC Syslogs I can find following errors and warnings:

- SAP Basis System: Run-time error "DBIF_RSQL_TABLE_UNKNOWN" (ERROR)

- Database: Table D010ENH does not exist in the database with ID R/3 (WARNING)

I searched table D010ENH using the SQL Studio and no such a table exists.

Any clue ?

thanks,

Hi XM,

In that case the installation should not finish completely. You have to find a windows server OS to install by following installation guide. Because not all windows server OS is supported by netweaver 702.

Hi,

Please check which dev_W* file under run directory was updated when you are
trying to log on the sap system.

Then please attach the ones that were updated to this discussion.

James,

Thanks for the quick response.  Just couldn't find dev_W* file by searching my disks but found errorlog.gui under \SapWorkDir as attached.

Which directory are dev_W* normally stored?

thanks,

Hi,

the work process usually under /usr/sap/<SID>/ASCS, /usr/sap/<SID>/DEVBMG, then go to the work directory.

Hi James,

It's an installation of NW Trial on Win8. Just couldn't find something like \sap\NSP\DEVBMG...

thanks,

Did you mean you installed SAP netweaver server in Win8? If os, you have to change to a windows

server OS. Because Win8 is not supported by SAP netweaver.

Hi James,

Sad to hear that.   I did install the NWABAPTRIAL70211_64_GW204 on my Win8 system. I think it was successful because the installation only stopped at 'Check DDIC password' ( phase 23 of 24 ) and then I could start the system from SAPMMC.  I intended to log in as DDIC and go ahead with phase 23 and 24.  But I failed to logon with the error mentioned.

So you mean I have no chance to make it on my Win8 ?

thanks,

Hi XM,

Technical it may be possible to install on Win8, but SAP does not certificate on non-windows server

version.

Since you already finished the installation, maybe we can go some trouble shooting. In windows system you should have SAP directory and there should be work folder. Please try to locate the dev_w0, dev_w1,.... trace files.

Best regards,

James

Hi James,

I could find the directory C:\Users\sapadm\SapWorkDir under which only one file errorlog.gui exists.  I have attached the content of this file in my previous post ( errorlog.txt ).

thanks,
