Can New Selection use a New Formula (KF) for restriction

Hi,

Can New Selection use a New Formula (KF) for restriction. If YES please provide a step by step guide as I cannot see the New Formula I created as available when I am trying to create a New Selection restrict it using a characteristic.

Hi Gurudutt,

Please ignore my previous reply and do as like below.

1. Restrict in Filter area with action code = Accepted.
2. New formula = Sales Qty > 0 * Sales Qty .
3. Create new condition --> select Sales $ Not equal to 0.

Now I am finding that there are no unique values for Action Code ( all Not assigned) and I would have to find other options?

Any suggestions ?

Hi Gurudutt,

In selection, you can not use formula KF (local).

You have to create CKF( Calculated Keyfigure). Then you can use CKF in Selection or you can create RKF.

I have 2 KFs, Sales Qty and Sales $. My requirement is to exclude rows from the report where Sales $ = 0 and Sales Qty > 0 and Char (Action Code) = Accepted.

Could you please give me steps in the best way to achieve this.

Hi Gurudutt ,

No, we cannot use New Formula , in restrictions ,to do so you have to create as calculated key figure and restrict in New selection.
