Hi,
I have a production order for 54, however, the component can only be ordered in multiple of 10s, so I need to set up the material master for the component in order to get the MRP to create a requisition for 60 rather than 54.
I have set up the rounding value of the component to 10, and the minimum lot size too, however, everytime I run the MRP, it creates the Purchase requisition for 54
can you please help?
thanks
Hi Giuseppe
What is the lot size maintained in material master, MRP1 tab? It should be EX. What's the minimum lot size you have maintained?

Hi Rahul,
yes it's EX..
I need a minimum of 10, as I am only allowed to order from my supplier in multiple of 10s.
thanks
sadly,
no access to OMI4
we've purchased this part in the past without restriction, only recently the supplier has added a minimum lot size.
I thought adding the rounding values and the min lot size, I'd have driven the MRP to order in multiple of 10s and min. of 10s..
is there anything else I need to do on the MM?
Hello
Please read carefully the following note, where the system behavior is described in more detail:
49663 | MRP: Rounding and minimum/maximum quantity |
According to this note, If the minimum quantity is not a multiple of the rounding value, the rounding value is ignored when creating order proposals for requirements that are smaller than the minimum lot size.
Therefore, the solution to this issue is very simple, you should maintain a minimum lot size of 60, as this is a multiple of the rounding value 10.
