Hi Experts,
We have done system Refresh in Q with P backup. After restore
we have re-imported the USER MASTER DATA in Q.
After this User master data reimport 123 duplicate user entries created. In SUIM its showing 840 user entries, actual user master data is having 717 users.
Configured STMS, imported USER Master data in Q and done post-processing successfully.
Does SAP_USER profile overwrite the existing user data in the target system?
Please guide me to delete duplicate entries/help me to understand why the duplicate entries are created. Can I know how and when these duplicates were created.
Regards,
Amarnath

Dear Amarnath,
you probably do not have duplicate user entries (usr02), rather inconsistent address realtions..... Did you check SAP KBA 2045572 already?

Hey Amarnath,
Yeah, that is strange. We do the same, after a sys copy we re-import the user master records that were previously in QA. We never have the problem you are speaking about, so yes, the SAP_USER profile is supposed to overwrite existing user data.
Was your client completely open when you did the user master copy? I mean, check SE06 and SCC4 to make sure it's wide open ion the target client and that the user performing the copy has SAP_ALL in the target client.

Hi Bernhard,
Yes, there is inconsistent address relations.
When we checked from the USR02 we see users count same as in Production environment
But when we check from SUIM-- User information-- User -- User by adderess data the count is high.
In that list we observed 124 users have the duplicate entries with the same name.
Please guide me.
