ASE 15.7 on Red Hat 7

Good day,

According to ASE Certifications on Linux (RedHat) - SAP ASE - SCN Wiki, ASE 15.7 SP122 is certified on  RHEL 7.

Does this certification include Red Hat 7 update1 and  higher?

PS : Is this URL the new site for checking certifications( as the old http://certifications.sybase.com is gone )?

Thanks..

Regards

Jose-Miguel

Hi Jose-Miguel,

You should be able to run ASE 15.7 on RHEL 7 and all upcoming updates. The certification of ASE on major RHEL release allows update to minor RHEL releases.

BTW the platform support info. can be found in PAM: Product Availability Matrix | SAP Support Portal

Regards,

Sherry

Gek ,

Thank you very much. Regarding to RHEL , maybe including update levels will help a bit more.

Hello Jose

this SCN wiki is a replacement for the old

certification information from the Sybase certification.

Bret and I pulled the information out and put these wiki pages.

They are the same information.

Please feedback any comments.

Thank you.

Cheers

If you're going with the15.7 SP1xx series I'd recommend going for SP134.

There are a lot of fixes and personally we've found it to be the most stable.

Obviously you may find no issues with your server.
