I have seen the following error message "Failed attaching to shared memory of relay server" in the outbound enabler when i had used same farm id for 2 different servers. Make sure you use unique farm id's.

This can be caused by the Relay Server already running in the back ground
If you start a second tim and not relaizing the Realy server is already up and running the
second instents is unable to set it memory Please see KBA  2195075

Hope this helps

Hi Sumit,

Provide more information on the steps you performed, error you are getting and the guide you followed. This guide talks about how to configure relay server: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/200d7500-2605-3210-9d91-a24cfb652...

You should not be using the Relay Server with the Agentry Application and the SMP 3.0
Agentry Server

See Http://inforcenter.sybnase.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.sybase.inforcenter.dc01916.0230/doc/html/sa...

It states the following

Load Balancer and SAP Mobile Platform Cluster with Agentry Applications

The load balancer should redirect traffic from the Agentry clients to the Agentry Server running withon
the SAP Mobile Platform cluster directly.

This traffic must not be routed through the Relay Server Provided with SAP Mobile Platform, which is
used for other archetypes with in the platform, But not supported for Agentry Servers or applicaations.

Also the PDF that is attached is obsolet the Sybase Hosted Relay Server is no longer Available
you would have to use the SAP hosted Relay Server and that is setup to be automaticly configured

I hope this help

That PDF is obsolete and need to be looked at and updated

theer is no Sybase Hosted Relay Server any more and you have to use the
SAP hosted relay server @ HTTP://relayserver.sap.com.
Also in the Sybooks it clearly states that Relay Server is not supported with the
Agentry SMP 2.3 and 3.0 Application and server it is only supported with the SMP MBO
application and server I provided the link to the Document that I'm references

I hope this helps

Hi Wayne,

Thanks for the update on sybase hosted relay server.

I don't think that OP is using Agentry. Relay server supports Odata based apps and Agentry apps (with a limitation in the case of Agentry) too in SMP 3. You could find the latest SAP Note here: https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/sno/ui_entry/entry.htm?param=69765F6D6F6465...

For  a Follow up

After some testing I was able to get the RSOE to connect to the SAP Hosted Relay Server http://relayserver.sap.com/  and to the SMP 3.0 (AKA) Maincar on port 8080.

With the following Config setup
RSOE @my.config

-f smp3sp03.FARMODATA03 -id BEDN00570680A -t 1bf5b1482ce4a8e23d7a2521eaef -cr host=relayserver.sap.com;https=1;port=443;url_suffix=/rs1/server/rs_server.dll;proxy_host=proxy;proxy_port=8080 -cs "host=BEDN00570680A.amer.global.corp.sap;port=8080" -v  5  -o "C:\temp\rsoe.log"
