Availability control disappear in OK02 object type

Former Member

Hello Experts,

I am going to create the user status for deactivating the availability control for one particular WBS because for that WBS we have not maintain any budget but system is showing mentioned message "Item 010 WBS element A/0017-5000 budget exceeded" because we activated availability control for whole project.

Now when i was creating user status in the object type list i did not find any Availability control check box like WBS element.Because i created user status profile but in object type i activated wbs element check box.when i was checking system is showing above mentioned error.

Steps for user status creation:

OK02-

AVAC- Availability control deactivation

Object type : WBS element checbox activated.

Details : Availability control "Forbid"  .

Is any suppurate configuration for object type (Availability Control) ?

Advance Thank for your valuable input.

Best Regards,

Lakshmi.

Hi Lakshmi,

When you choose Object Type - WBS element, Business Transaction - Availability Control will be available, so here you can set forbidden.

But I doubt whether this will overcome system status ? AVAC gets activated / deactivated at Project Level.

Hi Maria,

Thanks for your reply,  I have seen same scenario (but we have only 2 levels 1st level is main code and 2nd level is wbs,Now in 2 level one of the wbs availability control need to deactivate) in below thread. I am trying for the same but system is giving  error.

Availability Control on Individual WBS Elements [SOLVED] - Toolbox for IT Groups

Hi Lakshmi,

I did the same, but it was not working, since the AVAC is not removed the WBS element.

Always System Status over rides User Status

HI Maria,

Thanks for your reply.

I was also testing but it is not working.

How can we create object type in status profile?

is there any way to deactivate the availability control in particular WBS?

Lakshmi.

Hi Lakshmi,

Check whether you can make use of this note, i am not sure which SAP version you are using.

Note gives a modification to avoid setting AVAC status

757806 - CJ20N:Status AVAC is automatically set for new WBS elements

Below note is for understanding

826347 - No availability control before budgeting for a new WBS element

Hi Lakshmi,

Unfortunately this note will not be applicable.

Can you please check whether the correction instruction mentioned by SAP is already available in your system ?  Since the note is about some modification, so i doubt whether this note is applied to your system.

Else you can also raise a OSS note to SAP relevant to this

Hi Maria,

Those notes are not applicable for our version.

Our SAP_APPL is SAPKH60015.

Is there any solution?

Lakshmi.

Hi Lakshmi,

Just now i replicated the scenario using User Status

1. OK02

DEAV Status with AVAC forbidden in business transaction

2. Assigned the Status Profile to Project Profile in OPSA

3. Budget Profile is defaulted to Project Profile

4. Budget Profile is Total Value / AVAC Activation is 1 with Overall value. (Hopefully any config should work if AVAC is 1)

5. Project Created having 2nd and 3rd WBS element (No AVAC)

6. Allocating Budget activated AVAC at all WBS element

7. Adding service to 3rd WBS element is working and able to add cost

Only thing i notice is the WBS element should have Budget, then it will work

Regards

Terence
