I have created an automated report to 'age' (close) shopping carts that remains too long in a certain status. With status I1015 (awating approval) the process closes the SC in SRM, however, the approvers inbox stlll holds the SC as to be approved.  Is there a specific procedure to follow that will take care of this issue?

Hello,

It seems that you are only changing the shopping cart status, without completing the workitems.
You can check the workitem number that is available in approver inbox and complete it via SWIA.

Thank you for your response, since this is an automated batch job, I will have to find a way to simulate the SWIA transaction process..
