Open stock value in MB5B

Hi All,

I have one issue we have material XX with HIBE material type. In accounting view, total stock is showing as 2208. Issues are:

1. The total stock can be seen in MM03 material master accounting view but the same cannot be viewed in MMBE?

2. In MB5B, i can see the GR and GI quantity both are same, but the opening stock as on date is showing 2208 ? Refer screen shot.

3. The stock can be seen in MB5L as 2208 but in MB52 stock is 0.

I cannot find from where the stock 2208 came from? if it is initial stock then why not appearing in MB51 with movemnet type 561. Or is there any other way the stock has been uploaded ? Plz help me out. One thing this material is blocked for procurement.

Dear salim mohammad, can you please explain what a program that is supposed to correct wrong requirements has to do with a program that just reads and computes movements?

It is easy to throw a report name into a discussion without explaining the report,  it might harm if it is just executed in good intention without even knowing what it is supposed to do.

Hi Priti,

After execution of MB5B double click on   "Stock on 31.12.9999" you will get the details movement type, material document, posting date, entry date, Qty and all.

In addition to above expert details, you can check detail about material in table S031, S032 also.

In MB5B , system will consider  blocked  stock . Please  check  MMBE for  blocked

Try comparing both MB51 aand MR51 for the given article. You may get some clue.

   Seems to be an inconsistency. Please refer the note: 32236 - Incorrect stock qty or stock value in material master

HI,

You can track the material movement with movement type with Transaction code S_P00_07000139 which is showing as 2208

Hello Bijay sir,

Strange behaviour, In report S_P00_07000139 when i select option for plant+storage location , i can see GR and GI as same quantity but opening and closing stock shows 0. What does it indicates.

And when i select only for plant it shows me value 2208 as opening and closing.

We have problem with this material only. For other materials stock is showing correct stock.

Plz help.

Did your company run archiving process in previous (for material document) ?

What about table MBEW table ?

I think this inconsistent happens due to hard table update of MBEW for this material.

I can't give any way to check that. But all your symptoms is saying the same.

MB51 is not showing any data because there are no material document posted.

MMBE is not showing any data because it reads table MARC and MARD table.

MB5B shows the data (valuated stock) because it reads the table MBEW.

MB52 is not showing the stock because it reads MARD table (and MARC).

MM03 is showing the data because it reads the table MMBE.

Report S_P00_07000139 is showing the stock under plant but not under storage location, the same symptom when you can see the stock in MMBE but not in MARD table.

Ask you all users who has the authorization of hard table update.

Yes. We have banged our heads and found the same as what u said.

Someone has done direct uplaod of stock at table level which was updated in MBEW table but not in MMBE/MB51.

The only option is to remove the quantity from table level.
