Hi, I'm asking if anyone else has seen this strange behaviour. I have just installed IQ16 on a 3rd Windows 2008R2 server. On this server (with IQ set up as a Windows service of course), The IQ service will restart after shutting it down, even if the service is set to manual restart. I have not found anything different with this installation and the other 2 which work normally.
Anyone have any suggestion? Much appreciated!
Hi,
Additionally, I think you need to check the validation of licence file.
If IQ has a licence problem the error message is logged in iqmsg file when starting IQ.

Hi David,
1- Check this in Service Recovery :
Got to the Recovery tab and check if any actions are set for First, Second and subsequent failures to Restart the Service.
2- Check if "Enabling Automatic Restart and Coordinator Failover" is implemented

Tayeb.

Sadly it does not seem to be anything straightforward like that. The recovery tab for all 3 services (IQ, SCC, Cockpit) are set to no action. This is not a multiplex and the problem can occur even when SCC is not running so I don't think the Enabling Automatic Restart and Coordinator Failover applies.
It seems a bit random, 1 or all 3 of the services can restart automatically after being shutdown. I have never seen anything like it.
