I was trying to run dapec expert rule ? does anyone knows the prerequisite data to be maintained in specification before running this rule ? Also help me with clean water act rule as well
Hi,
I guess the question is anyway why DAPEC is still needed now that GHS is relevant in Europe...

Hi Krishna,
You can not modify rules delivered by SAP EH&S Regulatory Content as the come compiled and you can not see the source code! You would need to write a rule from scratch....
Maybe other content providers provide the source code of their rules but I'm not sure on this.
There used to be training available from SAP for writing rules but this is AFAIK no longer the case - but please re-check with SAP.
SAP help provides some basic guidance:
Using the Rule Editor - EH&S Expert - SAP Library
Hope this helps

Hi Krishna,
input data for CWA are on product level the standard composition and on component level the CWA listing. That's a fairly easy one.

Hi,
Technically not a one word answer, but will try to add some of my suggestions:
These are rules based on one factor, such as composition, if any changes to the product composition of a preparation the standard composition as to be recalculated through composition rules and these changes will impact on all classifications data of the product, so its is necessary to recalculate the EU classification DAPEC.
The Clean Water Act (CWA) is the primary federal law in the United States governing water pollution.Passed in 1972, the objective of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, commonly referred to as the Clean Water Act (CWA), is to restore and maintain the chemical, physical, and biological integrity of the nation's waters by preventing point and nonpoint pollution sources, providing assistance to publicly owned treatment works for the improvement of wastewater treatment, and maintaining the integrity of wetlands. (Source Wiki).
So we have some standard rules provided from the content provider which we run on our products.
