Mapping SVT

Hello Gurus,

I am trying to map SVT process for Purchasing.

Objective : To put limitation on purchasing of certain substance from purchase beyond a certain quantity.

Settings : So far i have done following settings:

1. Specification Management : I have added material id in Material assignment of specification Management. As shown below

2. I have maintained the settings in the Property tree in SVT node. As shown below.

Her i have maintained Quantity limit = 10 t.

Now when i create Purchase Order and i enter a huge quantity (more than 10 t). System does not give me any message.

Also i checked in CBRC20 report. My material is not appearing there. Please tell me where i m missing the settings.

You need to specify proper selection criteria in customizing; if you haven't done that nothing will happen. And on the top you need to have a SAP ERP relevant document in place so that either you will get a "planned" value to show up or a "confirmed" value => just read the SVT OSS consulting note. This is the "core" piece of note to do the SVT set up and it is a very good one (AND PAY ATTENTION ON THE LIMITATIONS OF SVT; you will find some OSS notes explaining these)

you are using the wrong property. The property you have used is to be used e.g. after one year tracking. You can remove the values from CBRC20 and "move" them into this (and the other properties in the same property tree node). PLease check SAP online help. This option is explained quite good there,

The use of the properties/classes is explained on good level in online help

PS:; I assume now that you have scheduled the "tracking" report in your system; if you haven't done; this is a further reason why nothing will show up in CBRC20
