Hi Gurus,

Is there any way (simple way) to add/write text description between SAP systems in Logon pad?

My requirement is that I have 6 SAP system connected on LAN and on Router string from outside (over internet). I want to add my 6+6 = 12 systems but after first 6 systems I want to write description as :

------------------------------------

HR System  (Or Logon Groups) etc.

-------------------------------------

So basically I want to Inster Horizontal TEXT message between two SAP systems for better differentiation. I changed in SAPLOGON.ini but nothning reflects in front end.

Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Garry

Hello Garry,

you can maintain SAPMSG.INI (usually C:\WINDOWS\SAPMSG.INI) and saplogon.ini (usually C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common).

If you are using a SAP GUI Installation server and all SAP GUIs are having the Work Station Update Service enabled, you can publish this files via the SAP GUI Installation Server.

As alternate you can use, for example Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Management or a external software manegement (for example LanDesk etc.).

I might misunderstood your question. For SAP Service side, usually the services file (%WINDIR%\system32\drivers\etc\services) is used to display OS releated data.

Lookup for the sapms<SID> port.

Behind the "#" you can add your instance text.
