How to trace a specific BAPI ?

Hello gurus

I am a basis consultant . how can we activate the trace for some particular BAPI's. there is a requirement of the client collect traces of some particular BAPI's in ECC and CRM systems for half an hour. As an output they need all the traces (raw data) per BAPI. can anyone help me if such a trace can be collected using ST05 or ST12 tcode and so as to how to activate the trace ?

Hi Rahul,

Sugan's thread gives you more on the RFC's.

however as you posted in your question, use Transaction ST12

there is a option called, Current Mode: there you can start tracing a specific transaction or program

there is also a option called WorkProcess : Use for monitoring specific process that is been running.

You can select the BAPI process that is running and click on Activate to start tracing that BAPI.

You will see a green bulb/signal on your left and then you can click on deactivate button to collect the trace.
