Hi Folks,
I am facing this issue past a week, of changing the text of the label User from the standard logon page of the sap portal screen to User ID.
I have added the User ID text in the logonProperties class file, still the error persists.
I have tried hard coding directly in the .jsp page, but to overwrite the text I need to remove the User which even after removing from the main file does not disappear
Please help me with this issue guys.
Thanks in advance to all.
P.S: Find the screen shots for better understanding.
Regards,
Shumana.
Hi Roy,
It’s not clear from your question what is your Portal version you are using - there is different methodology between 7.0x and 7.3x/7.40.
Assuming you are in 7.3x or 7.40 - You can find information about customizing the logon page here: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-27909
If you did upgrade to your system should follow the steps from KBA: 1935486 - NetWeaver Portal 7.3X/7.4 and custom logon screens.
If you are in 7.0x – see the following documentation: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/23/c0e240beb0702ae10000000a155106/frameset.htm

Hi Maya,
Firstly thanks for ur response for my post.
My version of portal is 7.4, its upgraded from 7.0 to 7.4.
And I have followed the document already to the custom branding of my portal logon screen, I am talking about changing the Label User to User ID, which I am not. I even located the file where we need to change the User to User ID and deploy it on server and take a server restart, and accordingly it should reflect the change but It doesn't.
Check the screenshot for more details.
Expected Result : Result I get after deploying
Hope so now I am clear to explain you.
Best Regards,
Shumana.
