T-code Usage analysis

Hi All,

We have a situation here where I have to analysis the recent usage history of 1000 T-codes. I need to see all the T-codes, how many of used them, how frequently these T-codes have been used  etc. I tried to use SM19/20 but I can only do it for one T-code or one user at a time.

Here the number of user's is unknown and I only have the T-codes to work with. Can you please help me how to do this ?

Is the security audit turned on for these transaction codes?

Hi Raghu,

As part of reverse business engineering, Basis team can help you on this.

Get in touch with Basis team if they can give you a extract of data, provided, they saved somewhere:-)

To do such such analysis, you will need data of atleast one year, because there are transactions which are used very seldom by business, e,g monthend t-codes, year end closing t-codes etc.

Thanks,

Uttam

Hi Raghu,

For this scenario, execute T-code ST03N-select the particular time period(Day, Week or Month).

Note that the when selecting the last three months data could only be fetched. The remaining months are automatically archived by Basis team.

After selecting the time period, click on Transaction Profile-Standard- Under Times tab-You can find the list of Tcodes executed in the particular time frame.

When you select and click on particular tcode you can get the list of users who have executed it.

Hope this helps you out.

Reward point if it worked out.

Hi Raghu,

You can directly use the standard program " RSSTAT26" for this instead of playing around ST03 .This gives you list of Tcodes executed by every user for the selected time period. However you need to check with your basis team as how many days/weeks/months data that this can store before archiving.

Once you have list, its easy to download it to excel and do a filter.

I hope this helps to address your issue. But if we know why you need this data and what you are trying to achieve with this data, there may be other alternatives to your problem and our SCN member may share different ideas.

Thanks

Kalpana.
