Hello All,

Hope you all are doing fine!

I have a query regarding GL Account Blocking at Chart of account Level. We have scenario that user blocked  GL account at company code Level and  even user don't have authorization to change GL account at chart of account level, user's ID is reflecting that user has changed the GL Account at chart of account level(Blocked for posting).

Solution's tried from my side: We have checked if any authorization is changed recently but authorization team confirm that no changes are done in the users role. Then we have checked all the transaction where we can see and change the GL Account at chart of account level. We tried to make Test user with same user authorization and tried to do the changes but still didn't find any solution why this was happened?

can Anyone please help me what could be the possible way to find the solution?  Thank you in advance.

Only one can be correct, either user has authorization or he don't. What is stated in the original discussion cannot be true. User don't have authorization but he blocked. He blocked it because he has authorization.

Functional guys may not have access to authorization. Check with basis/security. They will be able to drill down into details and see what happened. That's the solution.

Hello Sam,

The ticket came from Basis/security team stating they checked the role of user and nothing is changed is the user role. User never had authorization to block GL at COA however he can block the GL at company code level.

What's the solution you are looking for ?

Do you want to unblock the G/L account or do you want to tweak the user authorization from unblocking G/L accounts.

If you want to unblock the G/L account go to FS00 and unblock, if you want to tweak user authorization then talk to basis/security team.

Hello Sam,

dont want to unblock it, issue is user dont have authorization to block GL at chart of account level but still his ID appears showing he blocked the GL account at COA level. I want to know how is this possible if user dont have access to change GL at chart of account level and still his ID appear in the change Log.
