I've created an entry in Host file and configured my Web Browser for dummy.nodomain but still not opening Fiori Logon page. Is this any known issue?
Back-end access by local PC and Remote Desktop Connection for Fiori usage works fine.
I'm using MS Azure and S/4HANA 1610 fully activated Trial.
Thank you,
Tiago
Hello Stanimir.
I also was not able to connect via telnet, but I concluded it is local firewall issue.
I tested with another PC and I was able to connect to Fiori 🙂 Let's consider it answered.
Now, if I want to run Fiori on a tablet, am I able to do it with this solution?
Regards,
Tiago

Hi Tiago,
a tablet/mobile usage is not officially supported out of the box with the trial.
Depending on your device/OS/browser, you might be successful in running the Fiori launchpad but address resolution and non-signed certificates might block you (at least on my SAP-corporate iOS 10.2 / Safari, this is the case).
Since you have admin rights to the system, you can try to import your own company certificates or add the box to a DNS server but this is a customer-specific activity.
Best, Joerg
Hi Tiago,
The ping won't work as the Azure load balancer is filtering ICMP traffic. Instead you could use the telnet command to test the connectivity to port 44300. Can you try to "telnet" first the IP address and then vhcals4hci.dummy.nodomain?
Best regards,
Stanimir

Hi Tiago,
I just went through the steps in 3.3.1 and 3.3.2 and opened the Launchpad in my locacl Chrome successfully.
Could you double check that you have mapped the IP addresses to the right hostnames?
Best regards,
Stanimir

Hello Stanimir,
I did the steps in chapter 3.3.1 and 3.3.2.
On 3.3.1 I used the External IP from AS ABAP 7.1 (which is now static).
Using the link below (with port 44300 or 44301), I get ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT on web browser (Chrome).
BR,
Tiago

Hi Tiago,
Could you please provide the error that you get in your browser and the browser version?
Have you already looked at the Getting Started Guide, point 3.3?
Best regards,
Stanimir
