Post Cycle Counts--as recordkeeping

Does anyone know if it is possible to post the cycle count even if there are no differences?  Is there a way in SAP to review how many times a piece of material was cycle counted during the past year?

For  Physical  inventory  list  use  MI24 Tcode

Such number would not make much sense to me.

If you have a item which is to be counted 4 times a year, then this scheduled based on the interval from customizing and last inventory date.  If there is no stock when this item would theoretically be due for counting then you wont get it into a physical count and hence you have less counts per year than expected.

It will  show  you  the physical  Inventory  status  and  export  to excel and  count  it  how many  times  this  material  done  the  PI .

if  the  differences  are  not there  , even though  if you  do MI07  system will  not generate  any material  document

is there anyway to review how  many times a material item was cycle counted over the year?  I want to prove that the warehouse is performing cycle counts timely.  Therefore I am trying to review if an A classified item was counted at least 4 times over the last year.  It appears that if there was no difference between the count and SAP then there was not record of the cycle count.
